Requirements

• Experience working with individuals with intense behavioral needs (required)
• Strong teamwork, patience, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm and follow behavior strategies
• Reliable, professional, and committed to high-quality care
• Applicants for this Direct Support Professional position in Florida must undergo a Level 2 background screening as required by state regulations.
• Additionally, candidates must possess a valid driver's license, high school diploma or equivalent, and demonstrate proficiency in providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living skills, behavior plans, and personal goals
• Maintain a safe, structured, positive environment
• Assist with documentation, progress notes, and team communication
• Implement behavioral strategies as trained
• Help individuals build independence, communication, and confidence
