About The Position

Enhance quality of life for people with developmental disabilities by performing direct care services. Responsible to safely transport people we serve (PWS) to various programs, they are attending. Completion of all vehicle logs as required by procedure. Communicate with passengers and family members in a professional courteous manner. Gas vehicles as necessary. Complete all required paperwork. Communicate vehicle concerns in order to quickly and safely get resolved.

Requirements

• Ability to perform all job functions in accordance with agency values
• Valid NYS driver’s license. Three (3) years driving experience.
• Ability to obtain valid NY CDL credentials
• Ability and willingness to obtain Certification in CPI (behavior certification)
• Ability and willingness to Achieve and maintain (through agency training) proficiency in all of the following NYS DSP Core
• Ability to communicate professionally with various levels of staff, People We Serve and family members

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Acceptable driving record
• Valid NY CDL credentials
