Our Direct Sales team plays a critical role in connecting customers with the right solutions while delivering an exceptional experience. We are seeking a customer-focused sales professional with hands on woodworking or related industry experience who understands the products, processes, and challenges our customers face. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and using their technical knowledge to drive meaningful business growth.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field or 2 year’s related experience, required. High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly convey product value.
  • Strong time management, organization, and adaptability skills.
  • Active listening skills with the ability to translate customer needs into effective solutions.
  • Positive attitude with a focus on accountability, customer satisfaction, and continuous learning.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Tow or more years of sales experience preferred, with exposure to manufacturing, industrial tools, woodworking, or fabrication a plus.
  • Proficiency with SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and web-based research tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound customer inquiries with professionalism, accuracy, and a solution focused mindset.
  • Conduct proactive outbound sales calls to new, existing, and prospective customers to generate orders and identify future opportunities.
  • Build and manage assigned accounts by understanding customer needs, purchase history, and business goals.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop sales opportunities from marketing campaigns, lead generation efforts, and account activity.
  • Recommend related and complementary products to increase order value and deliver added customer benefit.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of customer interactions, quotes, orders, and notes in Salesforce and SAP.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Product Management, and Operations to ensure order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay current on product offerings, promotions, and industry trends to effectively position JPW solutions.
  • Support resolution of service or delivery issues through clear communication and follow up.
  • Consistently represents JPW’s brand, values, and ethical standards in all customer interactions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, team projects, and sales development activities.
  • Complete special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
