About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to join our team in Scio, MI. As a Direct Care Worker, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in their daily living activities, promoting their independence and improving their quality of life. Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or direct care roles is a plus, but NOT required
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is a plus
- Must pass background checks
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with mobility and transferring as needed
- Help with meal preparation and feeding
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with light housekeeping and household chores
- Follow care plans and report any changes in client condition to supervisors
- Maintain client confidentiality and respect their privacy
