About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to provide exceptional care and support to our clients in Brighton, MI. As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals by assisting with daily activities and promoting independence in a respectful and supportive manner.
Requirements
- Previous experience in direct care or a related field is a plus, but NOT required
- Ability to communicate effectively and work empathetically with clients
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions and procedures
- Ability to pass background checks
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
- Support clients with mobility and transferring as needed
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Help with meal preparation and feeding according to client needs
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Monitor and document clients’ health and behavior, reporting any changes to supervisors
- Follow care plans and instructions developed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain client confidentiality and comply with all company policies and regulations
