About The Position

This position coordinates the Recovery Support component of a “women with children” residential program and provides oversight for ensuring sufficient coverage 24 hours a day/7 days a week. The Direct Care Supervisor is responsible for training and monitoring staff performance, ordering facility supplies, and making suggestions for program and facility improvement. They provide primary oversight of the maintenance of residential apartments and common areas, and are responsible for medication monitoring and staff training. Maintaining inventory of all operating supplies and ordering as necessary is also a key duty. The supervisor functions as a Recovery Support Specialist when the schedule requires. The work involves meeting quality assurance standards, licensing, credentialing and regulatory compliance, and achieving program and client outcome goals as applicable to women experiencing problems related to substance abuse, life skills, and parenting.

Requirements

  • At least one year of paid experience
  • Ability to engage staff and clients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Able to interact and obtain initial information from the clients while maintaining a positive, professional, and client-focused manner with a diverse population
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop effective teams and build consensus
  • A demonstrated understanding of the dynamics of child development and family addiction and mental health issues
  • Ability to model and support clients and staff in health and wellness activities and with using healthy coping skills
  • Ability to support organization’s mission with a sensitivity of cultural diversity and workplace harmony
  • Ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems
  • Ability to acquire Act 33/34 & FBI clearances (employer reimbursed - after contingent job offer)
  • Must obtain annual TB (PPD) testing (employer reimbursed - after hire)
  • Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • BS Degree in human services
  • Two years’ experience in residential facility management, staff supervision, or equivalent combination of training and experience related to Drug & Alcohol or residential programs
