About The Position

The Director, Streaming Growth & Partnerships is responsible for overseeing Telemundo’s digital video growth strategy across owned-and-operated platforms and YouTube. This role requires deep expertise in digital content, platform strategy, and evolving viewer behaviors to drive a forward-looking approach to audience expansion, monetization, and content innovation, positioning Telemundo as a leader in the streaming ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in digital media, streaming, content strategy, or platform partnership roles.
  • Proven success in developing and executing high-impact digital content strategies.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills and ability to synthesize complex information into executive-ready presentations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-platform content operations and driving measurable audience and revenue growth.
  • Strong analytical mindset with fluency in digital KPIs and platform analytics tools.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills within matrixed organizations.
  • Deep expertise in YouTube, streaming platforms, short-form ecosystems, and digital distribution best practices.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

  • Drive content innovation, operational excellence, and strategic partnerships to expand audience reach, optimize monetization, and accelerate performance across our streaming ecosystem.
  • Build and deploy comprehensive short-form video distribution frameworks that optimize reach, engagement, and monetization across O&O and third-party channels.
  • Lead operational excellence across daily streaming workflows, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of entertainment and news video content at scale.
  • Oversee programming strategy and content pipelines for 20+ YouTube channels, ensuring alignment with KPI targets and platform best practices.
  • Lead ideation, development, and packaging of digital-first content initiatives, leveraging existing IP, show formats, and talent to drive incremental audience growth.
  • Build a strategic framework for repurposing and maximizing linear content, including highlights, compilations, short-form derivatives, and evergreen formats optimized for YouTube.
  • Partner with editorial and production teams to conceptualize platform-native storytelling, ensuring content is optimized for algorithmic performance, search behavior, and audience consumption patterns.
  • Analyze performance metrics, audience behavior, and algorithmic trends to refine content strategy and enhance channel growth and retention.
  • Identify and operationalize strategic partnerships with technology partners and distribution stakeholders to expand reach and enhance content offerings.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for YouTube partner teams and external vendors, ensuring alignment on growth objectives, product opportunities, and innovation roadmaps.
  • Collaborate closely with internal NBCUniversal partnerships teams to align growth strategies, support enterprise initiatives, and unlock cross-portfolio optimization opportunities.
  • Work directly with Telemundo editorial teams to provide YouTube best practices, and strategic guidance—serving as the organization’s YouTube subject-matter expert.
  • Partner closely with linear shows, talent, marketing, sales, PR, legal, and product teams to align priorities, manage workflows, and deliver seamless execution across all initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and brand-safety standards across all digital video content.
  • Monitor dashboards, audience behavior, platform analytics, and competitive insights to optimize content mix, strengthen discoverability, and enhance engagement.
  • Translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations that improve performance and inform long-term strategy.
  • Maintain deep understanding of digital video ecosystems—including YouTube, FAST channels, streaming apps, and emerging distribution models—to inform strategic planning and unlock new growth levers.
  • Track industry trends, platform updates, competitive benchmarks, and audience shifts to future-proof the streaming strategy and sustain competitive advantage.
