About The Position

The Director of College-Wide Academic and Learning Support, College Readiness, Co-Requisites, and Adult Education provides innovative leadership for programs and initiatives across ACD. This role encompasses academic support, college readiness, co-requisite education, and readiness testing. The Director is responsible for aligning programs with ACD's vision to enhance student success, including revisioning basic skills, supporting dual credit initiatives, advancing Texas Success Initiative (TSI) strategies, and fostering student success outcomes through Achieving the Dream initiatives.

Reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Partnerships & Initiatives.

Requirements

• Master's degree in education, Higher Education Administration, Adult Education, or a related field; or a combination of experience, education and training that equates to the required degree.
• Seven years of experience in academic support, basic skills education, or related areas,
• Five years in a leadership role at multiple colleges or system level.
• Must have a valid driver license and be insurable through the organization's insurers.
• Motor Vehicle Report is required in addition to background check and drug screen

Nice To Haves

• Doctorate Degree.
• Experience leading initiatives that support underrepresented, first-generation, and adult student populations.
• Familiarity with Texas Administrative Code requirements for College Connect and Dual Credit programs.
• Knowledge of Achieving the Dream principles and practices.
• Experience with learning technologies and instructional design to support academic innovation.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate program needs and system-wide coordination.
