About The Position

The College of Education and Human Development is recruiting for an Academic Advisor 1 in the Student Success Center. The Academic Advisor 1 works closely with, and under the direction of, higher level Advisors to perform traditional advising to prospective, new, transfer and continuing undergraduate education students. The Academic Advisor 1 will increasingly gain exposure to core curriculum and major program requirements, participates in retention activities, and may be involved in recruitment events and other college-specific special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and one year of related work experience or a Master’s degree
  • Related Experience: in a field related to student support, human services, education, or related advising position or related field
  • Schedule or Travel Requirement Occasional travel
