About The Position

This position is responsible for establishing the vision, direction, and development of our primary care and specialty clinic service line. This encompasses strategies, programs, processes, and procedures, including measures of success, which are aligned with the organization’s strategic direction and result in continual growth and development of the programs. These responsibilities include operations of the primary care and specialty physician practices, financial performance, clinical quality, service delivery, community outreach, and accreditation and licensure as applicable. This is a highly visible position that has administrative authority to work with entities across Arch Health Partners in order meet established accountabilities. This individual works very collaboratively with physicians, staff, and members of the management team in the planning and delivery of optimal care. Essential job responsibilities include leadership and governance. Develop financially viable business and organizational models that balance and align the interests of the health system and those of the clinic, thereby achieving maximum flexibility for program development. Interface with Palomar Health Medical Group’s leadership team to provide effective management direction for primary care services. Develop, monitor, and report operational and capital budgets. Coordinate with operational departments to ensure corresponding availability of service capacity to accommodate growth. Facilitate the development of plans to reduce costs and improve efficiency within the clinic and hospital. Create and execute plans to optimize reimbursement for services provided. Monitor and drive operations to achieve clinical excellence in the service line. Formulate and gain approval for strategic business plans and objectives consistent with the health system’s mission, goals, and strategies designed to support the community. Ensure the strategic planning and operational budgeting processes are linked with the health system. Successfully link the service line with Palomar Health Medical Group’s outreach initiatives. Develop new and enhance existing inpatient and outpatient clinical programs and services to achieve growth opportunities commensurate with availability capacity. Establish marketing programs that enhance the awareness and preference for programs and services among key internal and external customer constituencies. Ability to speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop-down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health Medical Group rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws, and standards. Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Master’s degree in a related field. RN applicants must have a BSN and master’s degree.
  • Minimum Experience: Five to seven years of demonstrated progressive management experience with increasing scope of responsibility.
  • Five to seven years of related experience in cardiovascular services.
