Requirements

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and site; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Employee must participate in the General Employee Orientation and Department/Job Orientation including competencies required for their position.
  • Must satisfactorily complete all required trainings assigned to their position and ensure that their employee health file is satisfactorily maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for entire maintenance function for the hospital, including continuous inspections of quality and quantity of work performed and periodic inspections of equipment, buildings, and grounds.
  • Responsible for training staff on Fire and Safety and other related topics.
  • Directly supervises Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Transportation.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Supervises a minimum of 3 staff.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • As well as meeting all required regulations.
