About The Position

Liberty National Golf Club Standing before America as golf’s iconic showcase, Liberty National Golf Club is situated along the Hudson River in Jersey City, N.J., with striking views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and Manhattan skyline. Since opening in 2006, the golf club continues to be guided by the vision and leadership of former Reebok Founder/Chairman & CEO Paul Fireman and his son Dan Fireman. The championship layout was designed by U.S. Open Champion Tom Kite and renowned golf course architect Bob Cupp. Only a fifteen-minute boat ride from lower Manhattan and located within the cultural and financial epicenter of the world, Liberty National and its membership reflect this inimitable environment. In its first decade, the Club hosted the first event of the FedExCup Playoffs in 2009, 2013, 2019, and 2021. Liberty National also proudly hosted the 2017 Presidents Cup and will host several PGA TOUR and LPGA Tour events over the next 25 years including the BMW Championship (2027). Position Overview The Dining Support staff is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient dining environment to support an exceptional guest experience. This role ensures that all dining areas are properly prepared, sanitized, and stocked while ensuring timely, accurate, and well-presented food service. This position serves as a liaison between the kitchen and dining room, supporting seamless communication and efficient operations.

Requirements

  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure under pressure
  • Physical able to lift 20–40 pounds and remain active throughout shifts

Responsibilities

  • Prepare dining areas prior to guest seating, ensuring cleanliness and proper setup
  • Clean, sanitize, and reset tables in accordance with service standards
  • Maintain adequate stock of dining essentials, including silverware, plates, napkins, and glassware
  • Communicate guest feedback and requests effectively to appropriate staff
  • Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately
  • Serve as a communication link between front- and back-of-house teams
  • Relay special requests and dietary restrictions clearly to kitchen staff
  • Verify food quality, accuracy, and presentation prior to service
  • Support table setup and assist team members as needed
  • Clear used dishes, utensils, and service items in a timely manner
  • Respond to guest inquiries regarding menu items and ingredients
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Accurately track work hours through designated timekeeping systems
