About The Position

Tabor Hills Senior Living Campus has been dedicated to caring for our senior population for 130 years. Tabor Hills Senior Living offers an Independent Living Community, Supportive Living Community, and a Healthcare Building. We have a great opportunity for a Full Time Dining Services Aide to join our team in our healthcare building and in supportive living community. Hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. STARTING RATE IS $15.25 PER HOUR. BENEFITS INCLUDING HEALTH, DENTAL, VISION AVAILABLE FIRST OF THE MONTH AFTER HIRE. Requirements

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Lifting 75 TO 100 pounds by self with frequent Lifting and/or carrying of objects. Exerting considerable force frequently and/or intermediate force constantly to move objects and residents. Reaching, handling, talking, hearing, and visual near acuity.
TRAVEL: May travel within campus.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Considerable exposure to disagreeable conditions, including odors, infection, and illness.
PRINCIPAL CONTACTS: Works with elderly residents, families, and other health care members.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be capable to execute all terms and conditions set forth in the EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK, including, but not limited to: a. Works in a safety conscious manner, which ensures that safe work practices are used in order not to pose a risk to others in the workplace. b. Complies with company policies and procedures and local, state, and federal regulations. c. Adheres to policy on Drug Free Workplace.
Interacts in a tactful diplomatic and humanistic manner with residents, families, visitors, and co-workers to provide a safe, efficient and therapeutically effective caring environment which insures the self-respect, personal dignity, rights and physical safety of each resident and facility guest.
Maintains a dependable attendance record and adheres to standards of cleanliness, grooming, hygiene and dress code.

Responsibilities

Works on serving line.
Checks meals for accuracy before they leave the kitchen area.
Assists Cook, as needed.
Washes pots, dishes and silverware according to dishwashing, pot washing procedure. Puts clean pots/dishes and silverware away. Cleaning of equipment and kitchen floor/refrigerators as assigned.
Takes trash out to dumpster.
Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator.
Delivers/serves food.
Performs any miscellaneous work assignments as may be required.
