About The Position

This role is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, values teamwork, and is interested in learning more about food preparation in our Skilled Nursing and Personal Care neighborhoods. At Fairmount, dining is more than a meal — it’s an opportunity to show care, dignity, and compassion to the residents we serve. The Dining Server assists the Wheat Ridge cooks with the preparation and service of high-quality meals while ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety standards. This position works closely with nursing team members to provide excellent dining experiences for residents in Skilled Nursing and Personal Care.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of safe and sanitary food and equipment handling practices
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions
- Professional appearance and adherence to hygiene and dress standards

Responsibilities
- Ensure residents receive meals according to ordered diets
- Deliver hot foods, cold foods, and beverages to designated service areas
- Assist cooks with portioning and preparing cold food items
- Stock service kitchens with food, supplements, and supplies
- Work collaboratively with nursing team members during meal service
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards in all work areas
- Check, record, and report refrigerator and freezer temperatures
- Assist with dishwashing, including collecting, washing, unloading, and storing dishes
- Assist with receiving and inventory as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet facility needs
