About The Position

Greenville Country Club is seeking a Dining Room Captain to help lead our dining service team and uphold the thoughtful, personalized hospitality our members value. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, building relationships with members, and setting the standard for service through example. WHAT THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE Leading front-of-house service during daily dining operations with a focus on member experience Creating a welcoming, polished, and consistent service environment for members and guests Coaching and supporting service staff to deliver attentive, personalized hospitality Assisting with opening, closing, and overall readiness of dining spaces Communicating closely with the culinary team and Food & Beverage leadership to ensure smooth service Upholding all club, state, and local policies related to food and beverage service Serving as Manager on Duty when assigned COMPENSATION $22–$25 per hour, based on experience WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 1–2 years of food and beverage experience; private club or fine dining experience preferred Previous bartending experience required A calm, confident leadership presence and strong service instincts Excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in member relationships Professional, dependable, and comfortable leading by example Must be 21+ and able to obtain ServSafe certification WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY Member-focused club environment with high service standards Visible leadership role with daily interaction and impact Opportunity to continue building leadership experience within Food & Beverage

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of food and beverage experience; private club or fine dining experience preferred
  • Previous bartending experience required
  • A calm, confident leadership presence and strong service instincts
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in member relationships
  • Professional, dependable, and comfortable leading by example
  • Must be 21+ and able to obtain ServSafe certification
