About The Position

West Creek Ranch – Dining Lead is the team lead that steps up to ensure all guest experiences in our beautiful lodge meet our standards for western luxury. Whether it’s the AM lead handling breakfast and coffee for meetings, or the PM lead setting up the bar for a fun night of dancing to a live band, our dining leads work collaboratively with the hospitality team to clean the lodge, serve good food and keep the drinks flowing. This position will work on presentation and flow to make each meal a true West Creek Ranch experience. We will be hiring two dining leads for the 2026 season- an AM lead and PM lead. The Dining Leads will report to the Operations Manager and collaborate closely with the kitchen. The AM lead will facilitate our breakfast and lunch meals, collaborating with the kitchen team and staff to ensure our early risers get the best start to their day. They will coordinate group needs for the lodge space by setting up furniture, moving dining arrangements, and ensuring the space is welcoming and intuitive. The PM lead will work with the AM lead after lunch to transition the lodge to any guest needs and stage the space for our dinners and dance nights, which includes an open beer and wine bar through meal service. Our PM lead will also work on inventory for the bar and confer with the AM on any specific dining needs for displays and stock. Both roles will assist the whole team of West Creek Ranch with housekeeping and other responsibilities as needed on turnover days.

Requirements

  • Prioritizing checklists with an ability to delegate tasks.
  • Attention to detail and record-keeping for inventory.
  • Ability to be flexible and work a variety of jobs to cover all aspects of the lodge.
  • Desire to bring forward their genuine self to build a culture of inclusivity and achievement in the workplace daily.
  • Current certification in CPR and First Aid (or ability to acquire before start of employment)
  • Current ServeSafe Alcohol certification, TIPS training or similar. (Can provide updated training if needed)
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with guests and collaborate with a team of staff in a respectful manner.
  • Confidence to lead by example and guide teamwork to success.
  • Able to meet physical requirements of the job which include repetitive motions, standing, sitting, kneeling, bending, twisting, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather to complete tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working at a guest ranch, particularly in fine dining.
  • Prior experience in hospitality.
  • AM Lead: Early morning timeliness shown from previous jobs
  • PM Lead: Bartending experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare guest and staff dining areas for meals, including setting up items such as tables, buffets, linens, silverware, glassware, chafers, condiments, etc.
  • Maintain detailed attention to guests’ and staff’s dietary restrictions and requests.
  • Promote collaboration and teamwork to achieve tasks specific to each shift checklist.
  • Conduct pre-shift staff meetings, communicating pertinent information from any guest feedback or leadership meetings.
  • Delegate team tasks as needed.
  • Display a positive attitude and maintain a cooperative working relationship with managers and all other associates.
  • Serve/refill food and beverages for guests and staff.
  • Check with guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
  • Remove dishes and glasses from tables and take them to kitchen for cleaning.
  • After guests and staff have finished dining: clean tables, floors, and other areas as needed.
  • Maintain the lodge amenities as requested by guests. (Fires in the fireplace, moving patio furniture, arranging tables and chairs as needed for group sizes)
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, and cookware using dishwasher or by hand.
  • Place clean items in correct storage areas in organized manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing station.
  • Inventory of dining linens, bar items and other needs as they arise.
  • Transportation of guests as needed.
  • Assistance with Housekeeping on turnover days to work effectively as a full team.
  • Facilitate “pre-shift” check-ins with teams before meals to make sure information is shared across the team and expectations are clear.
