About The Position

AB-PCI is seeking an experienced, strategically minded, and execution-oriented professional to lead its Digital Transformation & Initiatives (DTI) function. The role will drive cross-functional efficiency, automation, and digital enablement across AB-PCI’s functional groups — including Originations, Credit, Middle Office, Legal, Financing/Liability Management, and Investor Relations. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape AB-PCI’s technology strategy and process roadmap in close partnership with AB Alternatives Technology, while directly implementing practical, measurable improvements in productivity, data integration, and collaboration. The ideal candidate will combine a technology-informed background with strong business process understanding, capable of setting strategy and executing hands-on initiatives. We are looking for a strategic, technology-informed professional to take a leadership role in driving AB-PCI’s digital transformation agenda across all functional areas. This individual will define and execute initiatives that enhance efficiency, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making through thoughtful adoption of technology, automation, and AI. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Digital Strategy & Roadmap: Define AB-PCI’s digital transformation roadmap — identifying high-impact initiatives that enhance workflow, data accessibility, and automation. Benchmark AB-PCI’s digital capabilities and efficiency against other private credit managers. Partner with AB Alternatives Technology and AB Infrastructure Teams to align on systems architecture, governance, and security. Technology Enablement & Implementation: Lead implementation, integration, and adoption of collaboration and analytics platforms including SharePoint, Microsoft 365/Power Platform, Sigma Computing, Snowflake, DealCloud, Broadridge Sentry, and Allvue Everest. Drive end-user adoption, ensuring each initiative achieves measurable improvement in productivity or data visibility. Coordinate vendor relationships with an ownership mindset — managing priorities, enhancements, and user feedback loops. AI & Emerging Technologies: Lead AI-related initiatives (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, etc) in partnership with AB Technology, serving as the business sponsor for implementation and training. Cross-Functional Process Optimization: Partner with functional heads to streamline and digitize workflows across Originations, Credit, Middle Office, Legal, and Fund Finance. Re-engineer manual or fragmented processes, applying data integration, automation, and standardized templates. Develop and maintain central documentation of processes, systems, and data ownership across AB-PCI. Change Management & Communication: Lead structured rollout plans for new systems or upgrades; ensure clear communication and training. Measure impact and ROI for all initiatives; create transparency through dashboards and reporting. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability around digital initiatives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience, ideally combining exposure to investment management / private markets and technology-enabled transformation.
  • Demonstrated experience leading digital, automation, or AI-related initiatives within financial services or a comparable process-intensive environment.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, workflow tools, and productivity software (SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Power BI, Snowflake, Sigma, DealCloud).
  • Proven ability to design and implement practical solutions — balancing strategic vision with execution discipline.
  • Experience collaborating with technology organizations, external consultants, and cross-functional business leaders.
  • Excellent academic credentials; degree in engineering, computer science, finance, or related field preferred; MBA or equivalent experience a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in private credit or other buyside organizations, investment banking, or consulting is beneficial, but not required.
