About The Position

Digital Transformation Architect, Lead The Opportunity: As a Lead Business Architect in Booz Allen’s CIO Enterprise Platforms organization, you will connect company strategy to execution by translating business outcomes into capability models, operating designs, and platform roadmaps. You will partner across Product, Enterprise Architecture, Data & Analytics, Business Relationship Management (BRM), Operations, and Change & Communications to drive measurable improvements in employee experience, decision velocity, and cost efficiency. How You'll Contribute: Define enterprise capabilities and value streams: Maintain business capability maps and value streams and decompose into processes, controls, KPIs, and policy impacts to guide platform investments and modernization sequencing. Shape platform strategy: Align capability needs with the Enterprise Platforms roadmap, such as Finance, Supply Chain and Procurement, Payroll, CRM, Legal, Risk & Compliance, Security, Real Estate and Facilities, and drive target‑state definitions, dependency mapping, and release planning. Bridge strategy to delivery: Translate business outcomes into epics and features, ensure traceability between OKRs, budgets, and releases, and coach product teams on business architecture patterns. Govern with guardrails: Establish decision frameworks that balance common enterprise standards with segment‑specific differentiation; steward reusable process designs and canonical data definitions. Advance data & AI readiness: Collaborate with Data Strategy & Governance and Analytics to embed stewardship roles, lineage, and measurement into processes and platforms, and support responsible AI enablement for enterprise productivity. Champion user experience: Apply journey mapping and service design to reduce friction across key processes and advocate for digital end-user experience improvements in platform design reviews. Measure value and realize outcomes: Define KPIs, adoption metrics, and value realization plans, run pre‑ and post‑implementation reviews and optimize the business case over time. Integrate risk and compliance by design: Incorporate GRC requirements, controls, and auditability into operating designs and platform decisions and ensure secure‑by-default operations. Lead cross‑functional decisioning: Facilitate executive and working forums and resolve trade-offs among business units, Finance, Operations, and Product and operate as a trusted connector across the enterprise. Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in business architecture, operating model design, or enterprise process transformation within complex, multi‑segment organizations
  • Experience in capability modeling, value stream mapping, and process architecture, such as APQC, BPMN, or BPA
  • Experience translating strategy into platform roadmaps and measurable outcomes and working with Product and Enterprise Architecture
  • Ability to collaborate with Data Strategy & Governance, Analytics, BRM, Change & Communications, and Operations functions
  • Ability to define KPIs, baselines, and value realization frameworks
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or Engineering
  • Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SaaS platforms and integration patterns, such as ERP or HCM, CRM, GRC, or ITSM, data governance tooling, and analytics and AI enablement
  • Experience with portfolio planning, demand management, and budgeting in CIO contexts
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Business Architecture, such as CBA or BIZBOK, Lean Six Sigma, BPM, Prosci, or SAFe Certification
