If so, joining our Digital Workplace Experience team as an IT Business Process Intern will provide you with the invaluable opportunity to enhance core IT processes, work alongside industry leaders, and gain hands-on experience in consulting and automation strategies, all while directly benefiting from our mission to support Nutanix employees and contribute to our broader organizational goals. About the Team Digital Workplace experience team comprises IT Applications, End User Computing, Unified Communications, Service Management, Software Asset Management, and the Global Operations team. This team is a critical internal support function within Nutanix. While the team has an indirect impact on external Nutanix customers, its core mission is to provide direct support to employees worldwide. The team manages a wide variety of essential functions, including providing and managing employee-facing applications (such as Zoom, Microsoft Office, and Slack), managing and delivering employee laptops using internal tools, deploying technology in conference rooms across Nutanix offices, and overseeing help desk employees at various sites. The team is widely distributed geographically, spanning across the US, EMEA, APAC, and India. The team operates with a mix of hybrid and remote employees. The average tenure for team members is relatively high, standing at around four years or more . The work culture is outcome-driven , which is how the hiring manager describes their own management style. When working with the hiring manager, interns can expect daily 15-minute syncs.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa, such as an F-1, H-1B, or TN visa.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and process documentation.
  • Familiarity with IT Tools and technologies related to collaboration, communication, and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with process mapping and modeling methodologies.
  • Knowledge of digital transformation concepts and cost optimization strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present proposals effectively.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document current core IT processes related to IT operations.
  • Identify optimization opportunities and propose new digital transformation workflows to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Identify how AI and Automations can be leveraged in the proposed workflows.
  • Develop detailed process maps and write business justification proposals for significant process changes.
  • Collaborate with team members in daily syncs to align on project objectives and share progress updates.
  • Engage in change management initiatives, providing insights on the impact of proposed process changes on employees.
  • Present final proposals and documented automation workflows to leadership and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
