About The Position

CUMULUS MEDIA Kansas City/Topeka is seeking a Digital Sales Manager to lead and grow our digital revenue across two dynamic markets. This is a high-impact leadership role for a strategic thinker and hands-on coach who thrives in a fast-paced media environment. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing digital strategies that exceed revenue goals, supporting a team of local sellers, and integrating digital solutions with our powerful radio assets. This role requires a deep understanding of digital marketing platforms, strong collaboration with sales leadership, and a passion for educating and empowering teams. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to use your passion for new media and marketing to develop personalized, innovative, full-scope advertising solutions to meet the marketing needs of new and existing clients through the integration of digital products and services to coincide with our robust radio asset offerings.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in digital sales, marketing, or advertising (broadcast experience a plus).
  • Proven success in selling and managing digital campaigns for local/regional clients.
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales processes and cross-platform solutions.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to train and inspire sales teams in digital strategy and execution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); ability to build compelling presentations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or relative work experience preferred.
  • IAB and Google certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the resident expert on all Cumulus digital products and services.
  • Drive digital revenue growth by implementing effective sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with local sales leadership to set digital priorities and expectations.
  • Support sellers in client meetings and assist in closing high-value digital deals.
  • Deliver ongoing training and coaching to improve digital fluency across the team.
  • Manage the full digital sales cycle—from strategy to fulfillment and renewals.
  • Maintain strong communication with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to inform strategy and innovation.
