About The Position

The Digital Products Consultant for Toyota’s Marketing Operations team plays a pivotal role in creating and executing the best-in-class digital shopping journey. This role drives the development and execution of innovative digital marketing communication strategies, aligning key MyToyota/Owners initiatives. The Digital Products Consultant role works with Senior Analysts/Product Owners across Toyota.com to create synergy leading to best-in-class shopping and ownership journeys that are intuitive and frictionless for Toyota customers. This role also functions cross-brand with Lexus to share our product vision. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the Digital Products Consultant acts as a lead product owner and thought leader in digital trends as well as an overseer of the overall landscape of the online experience, collaborating closely with technology partners and stakeholders to anticipate future needs and define key priorities. This role will drive direction for our AEM cloud migration as well as ensuring the successful, on-time delivery of projects within budget while driving digital innovation. By enhancing the online shopping journey and customer communication about Toyota’s products and services, the Digital Products Consultant strengthens Toyota’s competitive advantage and supports TMNA and Dealers in selling more vehicles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work related experience
  • 5+ years of relevant/progressive work experience in similar field/industry
  • 2+ years of product ownership and or project management experience in digital marketing or related marketing disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Vision and Strategy Development Drive the development of a forward-looking vision (Sprint 0) and strategies to support Toyota’s goal of delivering a seamless and engaging digital shopping experience. Ensure a unified online vehicle shopping journey by shaping the vision and execution of digital products across Toyota.com. This includes aligning with Toyota’s strategic objectives and optimizing the customer experience across all consumer digital touchpoints. This role will help communicate/articulate digital strategy vision to gain support from key enterprise stakeholders.
  • Lead and Collaborate on Digital Platform Development (30%) Lead the development, innovation, and efficient implementation of digital platforms and shopping tools across Toyota.com.Collaborate and communicate closely with variety of front-end and back-end business partners (i.e. Saatchi, CTS/OneTech) to ensure the technical infrastructure supports seamless deployment and scalability of these solutions. Drive cross-functional teams to optimize the integration of digital tools and relationship marketing initiatives ensuring they align with Toyota’s strategic objectives and deliver a cutting-edge, cohesive customer experience. Establish workback schedules and maintain consistent communication with key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timely delivery.
  • Provide Digital Leadership and Foster Communication Across the Enterprise Lead and facilitate communication across the digital products team, enterprise, collaborating with Lexus, VMAC, regional stakeholders, other marketing teams, and DAB to ensure alignment on digital and relationship marketing initiatives. Offer digital marketing leadership and best practices, while actively gathering feedback from stakeholders to optimize strategies. Foster collaboration across all levels, ensuring that insights from stakeholders are integrated into Toyota's overall digital strategy, strengthening the effectiveness of cross-brand and cross-regional efforts.
  • Oversee Digital Analytics and Site Optimization Work closely with the analytics team to gather quantitative and qualitative data, using these insights to optimize the digital experience and improve key performance indicators (KPIs). Collaborate with internal and external business partners to gather strategic insights, implement testing methodologies, and collect quantitative data. Ensure the results include actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Use this data to refine strategies and enhance overall digital performance.
