About The Position

California Faucets is looking to bring on a Digital Product Data Specialist . This role is based on site in our Huntington Beach, CA facility. As the Website, PIM, DAM (digital asset management) and catalog specialist, (rolled up as Digital Product Data Specialist), you will assist in website updates and maintenance, manage product information systems (PIM), digital asset libraries, catalog and content workflows to ensure consistency, accessibility, and excellence across all platforms.

  • The minimum educational requirement to successfully perform this position is a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
  • 1-3 years managing PIM and website platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data management, taxonomy, and digital content ecosystems.

Responsibilities

  • PIM Management: Own and manage the Product Information Management system to ensure data is accurate and scalable.
  • Ensure product data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across website and catalog platforms.
  • Ensure product update information (spreadsheets/PIM) is available/ready as required by team.
  • Administer and keep a digital asset management system, with consistent nomenclature for asset files (names) and images, organized in library for easy access.
  • Develop and maintain content standards with eye toward website use.
  • Document various site requirements for length of messages/characters, and images sizes (long term).
  • Support marketing content strategies with timely updates of product descriptions, imagery, videos, and related materials.
  • Keep PIM doc updated, be keeper of our single source of truth.
  • Work with internal AGB teams to supply data for Salsify; work with them to correct and revise, as needed; always with an eye toward maintaining the cleanest, most complete data set possible.
  • Communicate proactively with E commerce team member to push updates to E Commerce partners.
  • Help E Commerce team member to Maintain an updated, publishable content file at all times.
  • Website: Ensure product launches are produced on the CF website and work toward seamless integration of additions and changes.
  • Work across multiple business units, including marketing, product management, creative and IT, to coordinate and execute website operations.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and external website partners (currently Mostly Serious) to support enhancements, integration, and overall site performance.
  • Coordinate with development teams and IT to address site enhancements, bug fixes, and testing.
  • Monitor new product launches and ensure they are 100% complete and of high quality.
  • Quote our development team vendor, Mostly Serious, on new initiatives, regarding cost and timelines, and communicate with Director to plan updates/changes.
  • Follow up on missing assets to website and strive for continuity and consistency.
  • Work with Marketing Director on development & improvement of website.
  • Help ensure cohesion between social media and website.
  • Recommend and research improved website capability, bring solutions to the team.
  • Provide continual testing to ensure product launches go smoothly.
  • Curate landing pages, product categories and search filters.
  • Lead the scheduling and work with Director on brand content across website.
  • Support creation and maintenance of landing pages, banners, and promotional content to align with campaigns.
  • Recommend solutions.
  • Manage the overall customer experience on the landing pages to continually improve content and overall product presentation.
  • Contributes to optimizing navigation, category structures, and on-site search for improved product discovery.
  • Ensure visual consistency of product assortments and promotional content.
  • Take lead on site updates, with regards to issues such as posting finish lead times, where to buy, etc.
  • Lead and assist with reporting to evaluate merchandising and search performance, taking insights and building them into actionable improvements and updates to the websites.
  • Collaborate with internal & external teams to enhance site visibility and drive organic traffic.
  • E-Commerce: Assist with E Commerce to update partner e commerce sites; use PIM information to add new products
  • Work in tandem with ABG teams to provide information for e-commerce partners, that can be syndicated out to them thru Salsify; Help identify missing assets needed, track and assist with uploading/making more images available on partner sites
  • Help manage what is needed for e commerce sites, and shepherd the process to get them updated
  • Continue maintaining our responsive partnerships with them, to provide best in class assistance to them; monitor and keep track/dates of new assets/finishes being added, to help CF understand if these efforts have helped create any lift in sales; keep before/after stats.
  • Catalog: Catalog updates as they relate to PIM management, ensure the PIM information is accurate and as clean as possible, maintaining whatever is needed in PIM for the print catalog.
  • Assist and coordinate with Product Manager, Internal Product Development Lead (Jeff S.) and internal eCommerce team member to maintain consistency and accuracy in product information (descriptions, images, pricing, attributes).
  • Work with internal Media Designer/Product Manager to assist in printing.
  • Assist with posting catalog and pricing documents to Dealer Portal.
  • Inform Media Designer in advance and help in coordinating email to dealers.
  • Provide Links for email.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as the point of contact between teams, internal and external for all PIM, catalog and website content-related needs.
  • Reporting and Optimization: Monitor data and asset quality, continuously identify areas for improvement.
  • Recommend enhancements and automations to optimize workflows
  • Lead and assist with reporting to evaluate merchandising and search performance, taking insights and building them into actionable improvements and updates to the websites.
  • Monitor traffic, keep website stats, provide regular monthly updates; familiarize yourself with Google analytics.
