WLBT is seeking a dynamic Digital Content Producer to join its newsroom's digital team. This role involves delivering meaningful, engaging journalism across various digital platforms. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, or related field.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Understanding of social media platforms and digital audience engagement strategies.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as news coverage requires.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom environment and handle multiple assignments under deadline pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Create, write, and publish news content for digital platforms, including the station website, mobile app, CTV platforms, and social media channels.
  • Work closely with newsroom staff, reporters, producers, and managers to ensure timely and accurate coverage of breaking news and daily stories.
  • Optimize stories for digital audiences using strong headlines, video, images, social copy, and platform-specific best practices.
  • Monitor digital and social performance to identify audience trends and improve engagement.
  • Ensure all content meets journalistic standards for accuracy, fairness, and ethics.
