About The Position

We are actively recruiting for a Digital Media Specialist to work on-site at our headquarter location in Jersey City, New Jersy. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join a vibrant Digital Marketing team, where your creative lens and editing prowess will directly shape the brand’s voice across rapidly evolving digital platforms. This is an incredible opportunity to make a tangible impact, crafting compelling visual experiences that captivate audiences and generate engagement for the Joe family of brands (Snow Joe, Sun Joe, Aqua Joe, Auto Joe). In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in elevating the brand’s digital presence, translating creative concepts into stunning, social-first video content. You’ll be a key player in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, working alongside the Digital marketing team and the Art team to execute captivating content that drive engagement and tell the brand’s story across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, other emerging platforms and the corporate website (shopjoe.com). Your work will directly influence how audiences perceive and interact with the brand, ensuring a polished, elevated, and on-brand aesthetic in every frame.

Requirements

  • A polished portfolio showcasing strong examples of short-form social content.
  • Mastery of industry-standard video editing software, including Premiere, After Effects, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop along with other relevant video/image editing programs.
  • Deep understanding of current social media platform trends and video best practices (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube)
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar videography and editing role
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Strong technical skills in editing content, sound mixing, understanding pacing, and story arcs.
  • 1-3 yrs short form editing (TikTok/Meta/YouTube portfolio); advanced CapCut + Adobe Creative Suite (Premier Pro, After Effects, Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Native understanding of hook-first cuts, UGC look/feel, on-screen text timing.
  • Proficient with AI tools such as VEO, Higgsfield (Kling, Minimax Hailuo, or Higgsfield Standard), Eleven Labs or similar tools

Nice To Haves

  • A background in graphic design
  • Experience within the outdoor tools or home & garden industries
  • Experience editing unboxing, assembly, in-action product demos
  • Examples of TikTok content or Facebook/Instagram Reels in your portfolio

Responsibilities

  • Edit and produce high-quality, social-first images and video content optimized for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube as well the corporate website and other developing digital channels.
  • Demonstrate strong technical proficiency in image/video editing, including sound mixing, understanding pacing, crafting compelling story arcs, and adhering to platform best practices.
  • Support the refinement and re-editing of influencer content (UGC) and videos specifically developed for both organic and paid media channels.
  • Collaborate closely with internal marketing and art teams to execute impactful in-season content.
  • Edit vertical/horizontal images and videos for TikTok/IG/FB/YouTube; short-form videos (5 seconds to 60 seconds), long-form videos, captions, safe-zone text, thumbnails; export to placement specs
  • Stitching angles/B-roll; adding overlays, voiceovers, music, split-screens
  • AI-assisted workflows: auto-captions (CapCut), AI speech cleanup & generative extend in Premiere, basic translation/localization
  • Organized project files, versioning, and reusable templates; fast iterations from performance data
