About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Digital Media Specialist to join our team supporting a Department of War customer with their strategic digital communication initiatives. The ideal candidate will be adept brand messaging, content planning, audience engagement, and use of social media analytics and reporting tools.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience working in a marketing or lead generation agency.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and producing multi-platform digital content, including graphics, videos, blogs, and customer outreach materials
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting federal or military social media programs, including analytics, reporting, and drafting content.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices, and social media marketing. Knowledge of digital content trends and accessibility standards is required.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives and work collaboratively with a cross-functional team.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create compelling and engaging marketing offers.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new tools, platforms, and methodologies in the fast-evolving marketing landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the government-approved online: presence and branding.
  • Draft and update quarterly communication strategies for customer initiatives, subject to government review and approval.
  • Draft and update annual social media content plans and supporting documentation in alignment with established customer business rules.
  • Monitor engagement data monthly, ensuring accuracy and preparing annual reports summarizing results against the approved plan. Submit to team leads at the beginning of each fiscal year.
  • Maintain a daily presence across approved platforms and draft responses to routine factual inquiries in accordance with government-approved FAQs and guidance.
  • Monitor and provide monthly analytics reports on engagement, reach, and effectiveness.
  • Draft customer outreach materials, communication plans, and online messaging products to support approved objectives, audiences, and initiatives.
  • Conduct research and provide draft articles, news updates, and related content for government review.
  • Support social media meetings as requested in person, virtually, or by phone.
  • Provide recommendations for updates to business rules and communications approaches, subject to government approval.
