About The Position

The Opus College of Business Undergraduate Program is seeking an undergraduate student to join our student digital marketing team with the intention of continuing on next fall. The team manages internal digital marketing efforts on Instagram (@opus_undergrad) and OneStThomas (Opus Undergrad) to enhance student engagement with the program and provide clear communications. The student interns work on campus in McNeely 128. In addition to managing internal digital marketing, the student interns staff the front desk of McNeely 128, providing direction to students with questions in person or over the phone.

Requirements

  • Must be an enrolled and degree seeking undergraduate student at the University of St. Thomas
  • Interest in digital marketing
  • Knowledge of social media strategy
  • Experience with Instagram and Canva

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in managing social media and marketing efforts of the Opus College of Business Undergraduate Program for an internal (student) audience
  • Work with Opus College staff to develop and implement a strategy for the @opus_undergrad Instagram account focused on engaging current students and increasing our following
  • Create visual content utilizing Canva as well as copy for Instagram posts and stories
  • Participate in trainings with the Marketing, Insights, and Communications team on brand consistency and social media tools
  • Work with Opus College club leaders to promote their activities and events through the Undergraduate Program account
  • Complete training on management of OneStThomas pages and events. Post relevant news items and events, and update page content, as needed.
  • Support promotion of program events on TommieLink
  • Support additional student communications
  • Provide customer service at the Opus College Undergraduate Program front desk in McNeely 128 (answer the phone, provide direction to students with walk-in questions)
  • Support the OCB Student Pool with additional tasks as time permits, which may include: Canvas assistance, organization, review, etc. Updating and/or branding of decks Research Canva projects Panopto Data mining Event assistance
