About The Position

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. This role can be based in San Francisco or Mountain View. We are looking for a digital marketing professional with expertise in designing and executing highly effective direct email marketing programs. This individual will serve as the catalyst for the growth of email lifecycle programs that increase awareness, product adoption and customer retention from our business units. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is responsible for channel growth, ensuring world-class campaign development and management while capturing and executing best practices, and has a member-first mindset and passion for delivering amazing experiences to drive impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in marketing/related field or equivalent working experience
  • 3+ years experience in an email marketing platform
  • 1+ year experience in developing or informing channel strategy as part of cross-functional campaign planning

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with basic HTML/CSS and troubleshooting simple errors
  • Familiarity with common email marketing tools (e.g., Adobe Campaign, Responsys, Stensul, Litmus), with the ability to collaborate with production teams and understand platform capabilities
  • Strong project management skills: organized, experience developing and maintaining project schedules, experience working against deadlines, ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines, strong time management skills
  • Data and results driven approach to marketing with a growth mindset, ability to surface actionable insights from data and take action
  • Experience designing marketing experimentation through A/B testing, multivariate testing, optimizations and analysis
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, team building, and support skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex workflows, dependencies and tradeoffs in both speech and writing
  • Experience with email nurture programs
  • Previous experience at an agency

Responsibilities

  • Translate business briefs into clear channel strategy and plan, partnering with marketers to define timelines, campaign requirements, and dependencies
  • Perform marketing responsibilities including but not limited to: project management, email production, landing page and microsite creation, multi-channel marketing programs, optimization, testing and deployment
  • Partner with agency and production teams to answer execution questions and ensure accuracy and quality before deployment
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement ad hoc emails or automation for marketing campaigns and programs targeting B2C audiences.
  • Advise on best practices and educate marketing peers with regard to marketing mix, multi-channel, optimization, automation capabilities, testing, and projected results
  • Scale programs in a thoughtful way to bring value to all relevant LinkedIn audiences; improve performance and processes to increase both ROI and customer delight
