About The Position

The Viasat Government Marketing team supports five government-facing business areas spanning SATCOM, encryption, space mission solutions, antenna systems, and more! As our global business experiences steep growth, we need an experienced digital marketing coordinator to help us reach our marketing goals. Reporting to the Manager of Marketing Operations, you will work alongside the entire government marketing team as well as cross-functional marketing and digital teams across Viasat. This role will work closely with our marketing and operations teams but will require a level of self-motivation and time management skills. As a digital marketing professional, you will act as our internal tactician. You will advise the team on what delivers the best outcomes using a data-driven approach. You will be accountable for developing, communicating, and ongoing management/optimization of digital marketing campaigns and workflows to support the team’s strategic objectives and drive lead acquisition. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in digital campaign management and reporting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing with a focus on: Marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot) Website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, ServiceNow) and integration with marketing automation tools Social media metrics and reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media or related field.
  • Excellent organizational project management and communications skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to build relationships, working across departments and business units to foster collaboration for delivery of stated objectives.
  • A consistent record of driving follow-through, supporting a campaign from conception through completion, and willing to seek guidance as needed.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to drive actions from large data sets.
  • Problem solving ability and consideration of process improvements.
  • Ability to write concise and clear guidance or summaries based on insights.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • US Government position. US Citizenship required.
  • Hybrid, able to be in the Carlsbad, CA office 1-2 days a week.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Adobe Marketo Engage, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Analytics, and A/B testing tools a plus.
  • Strong copywriting and proofreading skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop digital marketing campaigns within the Viasat Government Marketing organization, partnering with marketing managers on channels, strategies, goals, and reporting.
  • Work with a team of skilled marketing professionals, as well as other internal digital platforms teams, to drive website and social media traffic and maximize lead capture, conversion, and tracking.
  • Manage and maintain marketing automation tools to support lead generation and nurturing.
  • Monitor and analyze website traffic, conversion rates, and user behavior using analytics platforms.
  • Assess and recommend revisions to website content and landing pages, supporting the culture of testing and optimization.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure KPIs are communicated, driving results and recommendations for improving incremental performance.
  • Proactively review, analyze, organize, and communicate performance data and insights while suggesting recommendations to improve spend efficiency, traffic, lead conversion rates, and more.
  • Maintain current and accurate knowledge of search engine marketing, marketing automation, and social media best practices and strategies, offering thought leadership within the organization.
