About The Position

Crunchyroll is looking for a strategic professional to help help grow a newly launched product. You will own the strategy, planning, and execution that helps Crunchyroll’s digital manga product grow globally — and you make sure everyone stays aligned while doing it. You will work with the Director of Digital Manga, along with other partners, to create a roadmap, budget, and help implement approved plans. Act as the operational and strategic owner to stakeholders and partners. These include Product & Engineering, Legal, Content Acquisitions, Business & Operations, Programming, Marketing, and external partners. Your goal is to ensure that roadmaps are created, milestones established, and communicated cross-team. Identify gaps in current processes and improve workflows with localization, programming, curation, and other operational supporting teams and partners. Lead the development of executive-ready deliverables (dashboards, trackers, presentations, project plans), ensuring clarity, structure, and visual polish in every output. Introduce global workflows in regions to further integrate regional teams into the global organization. Manage partner relationship, operations, and project budget to help expand the manga business. This role works a hybrid schedule, with three days each week onsite in Los Angelas or San Fransisco.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in areas like global strategy, business operations, localization, distribution, growth, or project/program management—ideally in a subscription-based business such as entertainment, publishing, or streaming technology.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, both in writing and verbally. You’re especially strong at creating polished presentations, spreadsheets, dashboards, and trackers that help senior leaders quickly understand what’s happening and what decisions need to be made.
  • You’re a self-starter who spots gaps, takes ownership, and proactively supports your team. Ambiguity doesn’t slow you down—you’re good at breaking unclear asks into structured workstreams, clear priorities, and actionable next steps.
  • You work well with many partners at once, collaborating across product, engineering, marketing, content, and operations to gather insights, analyze data, and help guide the direction and growth of a product.
  • You’re known for your operational excellence: you’re detail-oriented, highly organized, and process-driven, and you can manage timelines, documentation, and follow-ups independently.
  • You have experience working in a global, distributed organization, collaborating across time zones, regions, and cultures, and you approach that work with empathy and clarity.
  • Most importantly, you’re down-to-earth and team-oriented. You care about doing great work, supporting your leaders and teammates, and building systems that help everyone succeed.
