The Digital Literacy Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality, inclusive, and culturally relevant digital literacy instruction to residents of King County Housing Authority (KCHA) properties, particularly Firwood Circle and Burndale Homes. This role supports individualsâespecially those furthest from opportunity, including limited-English speakers, immigrants and refugees, older adults, and low-income jobseekersâin gaining confidence and critical technology skills to pursue employment, education, and navigate everyday digital tasks. This position reflects a collaborative âblended ownershipâ model in which KCHA provides space, outreach assistance, and access to laptops and Wi-Fi, while YWCA provides direct recruitment and instructional services. Training will be offered in group classes and one-on-one settings and may be co-taught with ESL or career navigation support. This position requires critical thinking around how external systems impact the work that we are doing through the lens of racism and intersections with poverty. Knowing the core principals of antiracism and grounding those principles in everyday work, as well as working well in non-white environments and championing anti-racism policy, are required job skills and core values. As an equal opportunity employer, we highly encourage people of color to apply.
