Digital Literacy/Computer Instructor P/T
About The Position
1199SEIU TEF seeks a dynamic Digital Literacy/Computer Instructor to teach an in-person Excel/Outlook training class beginning in January 2026. Classes will be taught on-site at Maimonides Hospital located at 4802 10th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11219 Students will be a mix of frontline health workers and hospital administrative staff. Classes will meet Mondays & Wednesdays from 9:30am to 11:30am (flexible) Duration 10 weeks Competitive hourly rate $67/hour Applicants must: Effectively teach students at varied skill levels. Assess aptitude of students and pace the course accordingly Plan learner-centered, participatory lessons and utilize a project-based approach Evaluate student progress using class quizzes and North Star assessment Integrate other technology/online platforms into instructional strategies Adapt teaching style and strategies to maximize student learning and retention Part-time position for applicant with proven experience in education or teaching, with a focus on computer skills
Requirements
- Must possess Microsoft Office Suite Certification
- Must be able to multi-task and have strong communications skills.
