About The Position

Digital Design Engineer Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks a Digital Design Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. Position Responsibilities: Design high speed digital circuits and perform signal integrity analysis. Focus on electronic systems and electrical design, simulation and verification/validation testing of high-speed printed circuit boards (PCB) throughout full product development cycle. Providing design guidelines and support for system architecture design, board layout, product bring-up, debug, validation, and factory builds. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is required.

Requirements

• Years of related experience: 3+ for level 3, 5+ for level 4.
• Experience in digital circuit design.
• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
• An interim or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is required.
• To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required.
• “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to develop design verification plan and perform system integration.
• Experience in high-speed digital circuit design with ability to perform signal integrity simulations for multiple high-speed standards like 100G Ethernet, DDR3/4, PCIe.
• Experience in processor board design or complex digital design including processor or FPGA System on a chip (SoC).
• Perform circuit analysis and circuit design and digital circuit design in LTSpice or similar.
• Familiar with high-speed serial interface protocol like ethernet, PCIe.
• Experience in FPGA sizing and power to support board design.
• Strong understanding of PCB in design for manufacturing (DFM).
• Ability to perform post board layout signal integrity analysis.
• Ability to perform digital high speed design verification and validation including measurements.
• Ability to mentor others and guide other in digital high-speed design and analysis.
• Experience in schematic capture using Siemen (formally Mentor Graphic) Expedition Tool.
• Ability to operate as electrical lead to coordinate the rest of the electrical design team for complex custom electronic systems.
