Room & Board has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Content Copywriter to join our Marketing Team (internally referred to as Brand Experience), reporting to the Copy Director. This role supports the team responsible for strengthening Room & Board’s visibility across digital channels and enhancing our customers' experience through thoughtful, on-brand content. This position is designed to deepen and expand our digital storytelling by researching, writing, and optimizing content that supports search visibility, social engagement, and the overall customer journey. As our digital presence continues to grow, this role is expected to evolve into greater ownership of content strategy and cross channel initiatives over time. We are open to teaching our systems and tools—what matters most is curiosity, strong partnership skills, and a desire to grow while creating thoughtful, customer-centric content together. Location: 4600 Olson Memorial Highway Golden Valley, MN 55422 Please note: This role is hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. We are not considering applications from remote candidates.

Requirements

  • A related four‑year degree such as English, journalism, or communications is preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional writing experience, ideally with a digital focus.
  • Aptitude for digital platforms and tools, with openness to using AI tools responsibly to enhance efficiency.
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices and willingness to learn and implement AEO and GEO strategies.
  • Ability to adjust tone and style for different channels while maintaining an elevated, consistent brand voice.
  • A journalistic spirit with strong research skills and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Openness to feedback and enthusiasm for collaboration.
  • Passion for design and home furnishings, with an appreciation for the Room & Board brand.
  • Ability to provide proof of identity and legal work authorization upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Preserve and elevate Room & Board’s online presence through customer‑centric writing that aligns with business and channel goals.
  • Research content topics across digital channels with an eye toward SEO, AEO, and GEO best practices.
  • Collaborate with leaders and peers to deliver on-brand, on-time content.
  • Write articles and other long-form content for our website, plus write and publish blog posts via WordPress.
  • Write copy for paid digital advertising across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
  • Contribute copy for organic social media, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube.
  • Participate in writing video scripts and platform copy for YouTube.
