Bread for the World is a Christian advocacy organization urging U.S. decision makers to do all they can to pursue a world without hunger. Our mission is to educate and equip people to advocate for policies and programs that can help end hunger in the U.S. and around the world. The Karen Sue Smith and Rose DiMartino Internship Program enables you to contribute your efforts to this mission while benefiting from opportunities for supervised learning, personal development, and gain work experience. PRIMARY PURPOSE: As Bread for the World's Communications Department has implemented new branding and optimized its creative services support for internal teams, the demand for our department’s work has surged. This presents an ideal opportunity for an intern to immerse themselves in the workings of a dynamic Communications team, while providing the Communications with additional support and new, fresh ideas. Whether assisting with timely advocacy moments or contributing to larger campaigns, the intern will gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of communications — including creative campaigns, social media strategy, project management, web content updates, and digital asset organization. A significant focus for the summer intern will be supporting communications for the 2025 Advocacy Summit, including capturing, organizing, and sharing content before, during, and after the event across digital platforms.
