About The Position

This position is responsible for the development and management of digital and social media campaigns to support the strategic marketing goals of Goodwill Southeast Georgia. The Digital Communications Specialist will assist in the planning and execution of all digital communications to advance Goodwill’s mission and build brand awareness across service area. The position will manage end to end digital media and communication projects. This position is based out of Savannah, GA but must be able to travel to events and sites across Goodwill SEGA’s footprint and state-wide.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years of digital marketing experience.
  • Comprehensive experience using social media platforms such as: Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Instagram including necessary creative work (graphics/photography).
  • Experience with generative AI
  • High level of social media and digital content strategy knowledge.
  • Practical knowledge of SEO, web traffic, social, and advertising metrics
  • Experience with social media management tools such as Sprout Social.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including occasional nights and weekends if business needs require.
  • Up to 30% of this role will include travel to events and sites across Goodwill SEGA’s territory for content creation.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to be insured under the company’s vehicle insurance policy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of digital campaigns across web, email, and social platforms.
  • Serve as webmaster, maintaining and updating website content, structure, and performance.
  • Manage SEO strategy and optimize content to improve search rankings and visibility.
  • Maximize the impact of the Google Ad Grant by ensuring compliance and performance metrics are met.
  • Create and manage organic and paid social media campaigns across multiple platforms.
  • Design and produce localized content including graphics, videos, reels, and photography.
  • Organize and maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly social media calendars.
  • Use scheduling software to streamline content deployment and ensure consistency.
  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics, providing monthly reports and insights to the Development team.
  • Cultivate relationships with local micro-influencers to expand reach and engagement.
  • Integrate relevant trends into strategy to maintain a competitive edge and audience relevance
  • Write, edit, and proofread content for digital platforms including website, social media, and email.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to support community events and campaigns.
  • Apply appropriate generative AI tools to enhance content creation and campaign efficiency.
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver results-driven solutions.
