MilliporeSigma, a market leader supplying the global Life Science industry, is growing its digital category team and is looking for qualified candidates passionate about the digital customer experience. The Digital Category Associate Manager serves as a strategic contributor and executional expert, leading multiple category-level projects that enhance product discoverability and conversion. This role bridges execution and strategy, mentoring team members and partnering closely with Category Managers and Marketing to drive measurable business impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Biology, Chemistry or other Business or Life Science field
  • 5+ years of a combination of experience in digital merchandising, category management, product marketing, science and/or sales role

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Marketing, Life Science (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, etc.), or related field
  • Experience leading category or cross-functional initiatives, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, with proven success in stakeholder collaboration and influence
  • Life Science, Chemicals, or Healthcare industry knowledge
  • Understanding of and experience with relevant systems/databases (PIM, ERP, Palantir Foundry, BigQuery, etc.) and demonstrated ability to work with and analyze large datasets
  • Knowledge of AI-assisted merchandising tools
  • Strong business acumen and ability to connect merchandising to commercial outcomes
  • Story building and storytelling skills, and ability to interact with senior management in matrix organization

Responsibilities

  • Lead at-scale, cross-functional merchandising initiatives and optimize category performance, partnering with Digital Category Managers to co-owning categories or sub-categories.
  • Translate category strategies into actionable merchandising roadmaps.
  • Identify and prioritize digital opportunities through analytics.
  • Use analytics tools (e.g. Foundry, BigQuery, etc.) to develop dashboards and insights.
  • Mentor junior specialists and guide onboarding and training.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for eCommerce topics, leading conversations and initiatives to increase our organization’s digital and merchandising acuity.
