About The Position

SUMMARY: The Digital Banking Product Analyst defines improvements to business processes, assists decision-makers in gathering information to make decisions, helps quality assurance test solutions and products, provides input to the design of user interfaces and even steps in as a product owner, scrum master, or project manager as the occasion calls for. The Digital Banking Product Analyst acts as the link between the business units and IT, helping to discover the user needs and the solution to address them, and specify requirements/user stories. They engage in customer polling and help choose new products, functionality, and enhancements that fill a need and demand in the market. Additionally, the Digital Banking Product Analyst plays a key role within the Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Team and is responsible for the User Acceptance Testing coordination, execution and post production support of all testing events within his/her project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required Or
  • Equivalent relevant business experience (a minimum of 3 years of experience in Banking Industry) and/or a minimum of 2 years of experience testing bank-related applications (Digital Banking preferred), either in-house or third party vendor required
  • Must have understanding of software quality assurance testing, script writing and execution, traceability matrix, and defect tracking required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, qTest, eggplant or ALM preferred
  • Experience working in an Agile methodology, including tools such as JIRA / Confluence, is preferred
  • SQA certifications preferred Or
  • Agile (CSM, CSP) preferred
  • Candidates residing in locations within BankUnited's footprint may be given preference.

Responsibilities

  • Share with the team(s): Product Vision and MVP  Business impact analysis  Release Plan Release Schedule  Keeps the focus on the project  Understand and define the stakeholders' needs Facilitate the conversation between business and IT  Identify gaps between the customer and the development team
  • Grooms Release backlog using the following as needed: User Story Writing/Mapping  Assisting the Product Owner in preparing the definition of "ready" Functional decompositions Flow Charts  More as needed by the team
  • Participate in established agile process activities such as iteration planning, stand-ups, iteration demos and retrospectives.
  • Evaluate the user experience of the Digital Banking platform and find ways to continue to improve it.
  • Ensure that the required internal documentation is completed prior to the rollout of new features.
  • Work with Marketing to effectively communicate to the customer any changes on the Digital Banking platform.
  • Assist with Release and Iteration planning ensuring all and/or any questions, concerns and clarification is met as needed by the team(s).
  • Help Manage Iteration and Release backlog to keep team running efficiently. Assist the Product Owner with iteration level decision making, as needed.
  • Clearly articulate and communicate Product Owner's Vision.
  • Participate in established Communities of Practice across the various teams ensuring collaboration.
  • Breakdown epics into stories.
  • Test the user stories for accuracy and compliance to ensure undisputed acceptance and validation of stories to meet product performance goals.
  • Assist/coordinate the User Acceptance Testing event of the delivered user stories which includes:  Reporting & Metrics: Coordinate & track progress of test script writing  Coordinate & track progress of test execution  Roll up defects and analyze trends  Participate in Retrospectives or Lessons Learned for testing process. Assist in conflict resolution prior to business escalation.
  • Manage UAT Test Planning Process for projects/initiatives within project (inception through postproduction).
  • Identify staff requirements (dedicated and/or virtual teams); Assign/prioritize workload.
  • Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
  • Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.
  • Identifies and reports suspicious activity.
