Reporting to the Digital Archive and Program Manager, the Digital Asset Manager will be part of a global team responsible for stewarding digital image files for a wide range of gallery uses. This position will also work with Image Archivists to maintain a Digital Asset Management System containing roughly 250,000 assets and growing. They will continue to create and refine procedural documentation for the DAMS. Candidates should be able to balance long-term project management skills with the daily fast-paced environment of the gallery as the DAMS grows to encompass assets from each gallery department. The DAMS is a pivotal resource for the global sales organization and connects to internal systems to supply assets to different platforms seamlessly. As such, this position will work closely with the Engineering team to maintain the current API and think strategically about future uses of integrations. The Digital Asset Manager will be a key advocate for the DAMS, and must therefore be able to communicate complex or technical procedures effectively to stakeholders in terms that show an understanding of the gallery’s overarching goals and needs.
