Our Accessibility team is small but very focused and efficient. By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to define and introduce new concepts of Digital Accessibility. We are looking for someone comfortable working in a high-speed environment, where designs and requirements evolve quickly. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team spirit. You will be working collaboratively with User Researchers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Product and Content Designers, Engineers, and Testers. This role combines technical accessibility testing with a unique opportunity to collaborate directly with a blind colleague and expert screen reader user. You will help ensure BT Business digital products and systems meet WCAG 2.2 AA standards, while also providing support to enable our colleague to carry out end-to-end testing without barriers. This includes addressing defects that prevent access (e.g. unlabeled controls, keyboard traps), performing complementary sighted checks, and ensuring that lived experience insights are embedded into our accessibility approach. Native users bring authentic and invaluable perspectives on real-world accessibility challenges. This role recognises and leverages that expertise, ensuring our products are not just compliant but genuinely usable for people with disabilities.
