About The Position

The Dietitian demonstrates expertise in the provision of nutritional care and education to outpatients. The Dietitian communicates to the physician and their health care team information relating to current scientific nutrition knowledge and practice. The Dietitian coordinates all activities related to nutritional care of patients. They apply the appropriate nutrition therapy in response to biochemical, physiologic and pharmacological alterations that occur. The Dietitian completes an analysis of nutritional status. They select relevant data and appropriate methods or tools for estimating, calculating, interpreting, and predicting various nutrition related variables, needs and consequences. They make sound clinical judgments, plan efficient and effective courses of action, defend judgments authoritatively, and evaluate actions in terms of clinical outcome.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or dietetics.
  • Valid and Current State of Ohio licensure with Ohio Board of Dietetics.
  • Registered dietitian and member of the Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Three years clinical experience as a dietitian.
  • Current CPR Certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months of employment.
  • Extensive knowledge and interpretation of laws, rules and regulations associated with clinical aspects of physician practice.
  • Must possess effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fundamental computing skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Provision of nutritional care and education to outpatients
