About The Position

- Perform work of a complex and professional nature, responsible for the development and dissemination of nutrition education materials and wellness education programs for use by agency clients, staff, and the general public.

Requirements

• Registered dietitian licensed to work as an RD in the State of Ohio
• Proven ability to provide medical nutrition therapy in-person or via telehealth
• Experience in leading Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support (DSMES) sessions
• Demonstrated accountability for professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law
• Strong ability to prioritize the needs of the agency and community regarding diabetes education programming
• Proficient in the development and dissemination of nutrition education materials and wellness education programs
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with agency clients, staff, and the general public
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
• Competency in utilizing telehealth platforms for delivering nutrition therapy
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing educational sessions and materials

Nice To Haves

• Experience in both clinical and community settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Director in prioritizing the needs of the agency and community regarding diabetes education programming.
• Provide medical nutrition therapy in-person or via telehealth.
• Lead Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support (DSMES) sessions at locations including Diabetes Dayton and various community locations.
