Position Summary The Clinical Dietitian applies Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and incorporates research-based practice to best serve our patients in the Inpatient hospital environment.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university
  • Licensure / Certification: Requires current Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credential as a Registered Dietitian.
  • Must be a registered dietitian licensed in the state of Ohio.
  • Completes continuing professional educational requirements to maintain credentials
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of medical staff, healthcare professionals, managers, etc
  • LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and as such, may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a clinical registered and licensed dietitian preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, and documents nutrition plan of care and will include a Nutrition Focused Physical Exam as appropriate.
  • Provides nutrition education to patients and their families
  • Provides ongoing nutrition monitoring for patients as indicated
  • Calculates Enteral and Parenteral needs and communicates with other disciplines regarding management of alternate nutrition.
