About The Position

The Dietetic Assistant is responsible for collaborating with nutritionists to enhance patient well-being through dietary support. This role involves providing nutritional care, conducting patient follow-ups, and ensuring appropriate communication of patient nutritional information to other health professionals. Responsibilities

  • Coordinates patient's meal plans with healthcare professionals and nutritionists.
  • Takes patient meal orders via phone and at the bedside.
  • Assists with meal selections while taking into consideration cultural and/or religious preferences.
  • Monitors patient meal tickets- this includes reviewing and modifying as needed to comply with prescribed diet order.
  • Processes new diets, changes, tube feedings and NPO orders efficiently while keeping accurate records.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
