About The Position

Dietary Manager is responsible for the planning, preparation, and service of all diets and the maintenance of accepted standards of practice for the preparation and service of these diets. • Certified Dietary Manager or certification completed within the timeline established by the facility required

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the orientation and training of new dietary personnel
• Provides ongoing in-service for dietary personnel
• Supervises the use and care of all equipment
• Maintains safety, sanitation, and housekeeping procedures pertaining to dietary department
• Ordering of food supplies
• Receives and checks incoming supplies
• Plans menus, adhering to budget
• Maintains accurate time records for dietary employees
• Responsible for the part of the disaster plan that applies to the dietary department
• Inventory of food supplies and equipment monthly
• Plans and prepares meals for special meetings and parties
• Other duties as assigned
