Requirements

  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or equivalent certification (required)
  • Working knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey expectations
  • At least one year of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lead a team while maintaining a positive, service-focused culture

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare or senior living food service (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the dietary department, including food purchasing, preparation, and service
  • Lead, schedule, train, and evaluate dietary staff to maintain a strong, accountable team
  • Ensure compliance with all Nebraska and federal regulations for long-term care dining services
  • Maintain clean, organized, and survey-ready kitchen and storage areas
  • Manage dietary documentation within the electronic health record system
  • Partner with the Administrator to monitor budgets, control costs, and manage inventory
  • Attend leadership meetings and contribute to facility-wide initiatives
  • Develop and implement menus that meet clinical requirements while honoring resident preferences
