About The Position

Dietary Cook Salinas Valley Post Acute Salinas Valley Post Acute is seeking a reliable and motivated Dietary Cook to join our dietary services team. This role is essential in providing nutritious, high-quality meals that support the health and well-being of our residents. PACS is revolutionizing the delivery and leadership of post-acute healthcare and support services across the country. Originally founded in 2013, the organization now consists of hundreds of independent operating subsidiaries, as well as ancillary and support services. Requirements

  • Prior experience as a cook in a healthcare, long-term care, or institutional setting preferred
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets and food safety standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Food Handler’s Certification (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines
  • Ensure meals meet residents’ dietary needs and physician-ordered restrictions
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times
  • Properly store food and supplies in compliance with health regulations
  • Work collaboratively with dietary aides, supervisors, and nursing staff
  • Assist with special events or modified meal plans as needed
