Dietary Clerk - Part Time

The Dietary Clerk is responsible for accurately assembling patient trays, delivering meals, receives and records dietary orders using Dietary Management System, assists patient with menu selection, cleaning and sanitation of soiled dishes, restocking and servicing cafeteria to include operation of cash register.
Requirements
- Must be able to Work cooperatively and interact with patients, visitors, and employees.
- Make mature judgements.
- Stand stoop, lift moderate weight, push, and pull items.
- Exhibit a high level of customer service skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of basic nutritional needs.
- Basic understanding of computers & ability to operate a computer on varying levels.

Responsibilities
- Accurately assembling patient trays
- Delivering meals
- Receiving and recording dietary orders using Dietary Management System
- Assisting patient with menu selection
- Cleaning and sanitation of soiled dishes
- Restocking and servicing cafeteria to include operation of cash register
- Assisting patients with meal selection using Dietary Management System in coordination with diets as assigned by Dietician: communicate discrepancies & issues to Dietician as applicable
- Accurately assembles and delivers patient and guest trays according to menu selection as entered into Dietary Management System using proper portion control
- Picking up tray when patient is finished delivers food and beverage orders to other departments
- Assisting in preparation for and delivery of special function orders
- Serving meals and maintains proper supplies in the cafeteria
- Running cash register, receives, and counts money
- Operating dish machine, washes dishes including pots, pans, and carts using proper cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Assisting cooks by cleaning vegetables, preparing salads, desserts, and performing various other food prep tasks as needed
- Regular attendance is required in order to carry out the essential functions of the position
- Reviews and meets ongoing competency requirements of the role to maintain the skills, knowledge, and abilities to perform, within scope, role specific functions
