About The Position

NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans. Our NeuroRestorative facility located in San Dimas, CA, is a fully licensed JCAHO accredited Congregate Living Healthcare (CLHF) facility that specializes in brain, spinal cord and other life-altering injuries and medically-complex illnesses. We offer in-patient treatment in a residential home-like setting to individuals of all ages, which includes Neurorehabilitation, respite, post-acute, and sub-acute care. We offer a variety of services including amputee care, complex wound care, G- and J- tube feedings, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, multiple IV antibiotic therapy, pulmonary care, social & recreational activities, and more. Requirements

Current food handler’s certificate
Kitchen/restaurant and/or cook experience required (preferably in healthcare)
Janitorial/cleaning experience required
Valid driver’s license in good standing
A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach
An acute attention to detail

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain kitchen and other work areas so that health standards are met and the home is neat and debris-free.
Maintain and clean counter and floor surfaces, and empty trash receptacles.
Follow universal precautions and procedures regarding cleaners, hazardous materials, and infection control.
Disinfect equipment and supplies.
Purchase groceries and kitchen supplies
Review work orders to determine type and quantities of food to be prepared
Prepare, season, and cook food
Carve portions of meat, fish, or fowl for individual servings
Inspect food storage and directs sanitary maintenance of kitchen and storage facilities
Oversee and coordinate activities of kitchen workers preparing and cooking foods
Plan and review menus
Determine food quantities, labor, and overhead costs
