Aurora Behavioral Health System-Arizona's largest free‑standing psychiatric hospital-is seeking a motivated and dependable Dietary Aide to join our team in Tempe, AZ. Our 138‑bed inpatient hospital and outpatient programs serve adolescents and adults with a wide range of psychiatric and chemical dependency needs. About the Role As a Dietary Aide, you'll support our kitchen operations by preparing, organizing, and serving meals that meet a variety of dietary guidelines. You'll help ensure our patients, visitors, and staff receive safe, nutritious, and well‑presented meals every day.

Requirements

• Strong organizational and time‑management skills
• Ability to prepare appropriate quantities of food for each meal service
• Knowledge of safe food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
• Flexibility to assist with various cooking and prep tasks
• Reliability, teamwork, and a positive, professional attitude
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Current negative TB test or medical clearance
• Must meet fingerprint clearance requirements
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical
• Must be eligible for a fingerprint clearance card

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment
• Prepare, portion, and serve meals on tray lines with accuracy
• Label, date, store, and rotate food items according to safety standards
• Receive, check, and properly store food and supply deliveries
• Monitor and document food and refrigeration temperatures
• Follow all dietary, safety, and quality control guidelines
• Assist the Cook with special meal requests and catered functions
