About The Position

Essential Responsibilities of a Dietary Aide III (Not intended to be an all-inclusive list) Functions as supervisor when that area's supervisor is not present including staffing, supervision of staff, meal service timeliness, food presentation, and accuracy to residents. Serves meals in dining room or tray line according to menu, modified diets, and the individual needs of the resident. Works in the dish room as needed. Serves resident meals in dining room according to menu, modified diets, and individual needs of the residents. Responsible for clean-up, sanitation, and the resetting of the dining room after each service. Prepares food items as specified with each position. Responsible for communicating with the Dining Services Manager any concerns that pertains to residents, visitors, other staff members, or the operation of the Dining Services Department. Properly labels, dates, and stores food as required and to regulatory standards. Other duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications of a Dietary Aide III (Not intended to be an all-inclusive list) Minimum 1 year food service experience. Basic knowledge of food service sanitation and health care food service. Carries out job responsibilities in an accurate and conscientious manner. Exercises independent judgment and makes sound decisions. Effectively plans, organizes, and prioritizes work load. Communicates effectively with the residents and other staff members, treating them with respect and dignity. Works well within established policies and procedures. Works in a partnership environment which fosters effective teamwork in meeting the mission of Oakwood Village. Demonstrates willingness to accept a weekend and holiday work schedule.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year food service experience.
  • Basic knowledge of food service sanitation and health care food service.
